The Ice Prince by Sandra Marton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
To be honest Sandra Marton’s THE ICE PRINCE was a fairly light reading. I was surprised at how good the writing style was very precise. I would read more of her books to see if they are better than this one because the only thing I didn’t like was how the plot was set up in the middle of the book. However I was expecting a light and entertaining read, so in that regards I got 3 stars worth of reading.
Since this was a very short book, the characters didn’t get much of a chance to develop. Which I think is a shame because most of the story they are banging each other like rabbits when they barely know each other. I think if the characters knew each other, I would have found this book more romantic than porn-like.
I liked the second half of the book more than the first half since Draco and Anna started getting to know each other while they were touring the city. The only problems I had was that everything was so full of dues ex machina moments where everything was hand-waved and therefore the conflict didn’t play much of anything besides getting them into bed (which was slightly amusing).
Now this book did have a happy ending, which didn’t surprise me. But I will try to find the Orsini series it is in. I’m hopeful that the other books are better because I was blown away at how good the writing was.
